fleece VS bedding

Fleece vs bedding

OK now some of you may be wondering witch is better?

Fleece vs Bedding if you don't know what either of these things are than fleece is just basically fleece but it's a blanket big enough to fit your pets cage, and you need 2 layers of it plus a cage liner. (so when their moving around they don't mess up the fleece and get it all crumpled up). and if you don't know what bedding is it's called care fresh and it's a type of bedding made of 100% recycled paper. i guess either of them are good to use? or maybe not? here is the pros and cons of it :

Care fresh:	- it absorbs a lot, it’s 100% recycled paper ; it’s good for the earth, you can use the bedding for a big variety of different animals/pets, and it’s handy to just scoop it out and throw out when your done! (5 pros).	- It gets to be really expensive when you need to start buying it weekly. - it’s really dusty when i gets in the air. - it can cause a mess when cleaning the cage or, the animal kicks it up out of their cage when it’s running around all the time! - and it’s not very cuddly and soft and warm and cozy for them to actually get all heating warm in a couple of minutes. (5 cons).
Fleece:	- it’s nice and cozy for them to sleep in or cuddle up in!, -it’s way way way more cheaper than bedding, - it’s less work to clean out the cage ; because you can just take out the fleece hand wash it and let it dry then put it back in the cage! - it doesn't cause a big mess when you're cleaning out the cage! ; because it doesn't spill all over the place compared to bedding. - you don’t have to be constantly bringing the compost, or the garbage can back and forth everyday, just to clean out the cage! - and, it’s less prone to cause nits because there might be something like a spider in the bedding when packaged or, a spider could crawl in the cage and hide underneath the bedding, so no one can see it! compared to fleece, there won’t be any chance of bugs getting in the cage!( pros)	sometimes rarely, the poops get stuck to the fleece but you can easily pick them off when washing the fleece! - and you need to potty train your guinea pigs/pets before you use fleece; just so there isn’t as big of a mess all the time to clean up (because you have to wash the fleece more, like daily).(2 cons).

so really if you think about it fleece is better!

Animal Illnesses and Diseases

Animal sickness or illnesses

  HI!

  Today I will be talking about animal sickness or illnesses (in your pet/animal).

  if you don't know what I am talking about, than I am talking about strategies,

  or things that you can or need to do when you pet is sick or has an illness or a

  disease. here is how you can tell if you pet has an illness, a disease, or is sick :

• your pet is not eating or drinking at all.
• your pet is hiding in the corner of their cage
• if you pet is really energetic than, it's really shy and slow.
• it's Sneezing a lot.
• it has diarrhea a lot.
• if it has discharge in their eyes
• if they have got dull eyes
• if it's constipated(has trouble going pooping)
• or, if it has a bloated, abdomen.

remember, that if you think your pet might have any of these symptoms than don't even risk their life. call your pet veterinarian, or a veterinarian right away! don't look it up online just call your vet right away! or even better bring it right to the vet right away! don't ever risk your animals life! or leave it alone to suffer. don't wait a few days either. just call your vet right away! and even if your an animal expert you need to still check with your veterinarian.

Traveling with Pets

Hey guys,
today I will be teaching you about how to travel with animals. specifically, small pets.
there are 4different ways that you could use to travel with pets :

• how to travel with small animals
• how to travel with birds/parrots
• how to travel with cats
• and, how to travel with dogs.

now, today I will mainly be talking about travelling with small pets.
but if you need advice on how to travel with a different type of animal than, please leave a comment
in the comments below!



how to travel with small pets :
ever wondered "gee how am I going to travel with my rabbit or ferret or etc..."
well, here is some instructions right here! on how to travel with small pets!

step 1 : get your carrier ready!
now first before you try to start anything you've got to find a good affordable, good
sturdy, good quality carrier (that will not fall apart or rip)
now I suggest that you get something perhaps made of plastic and some cozy material inside
now, it cannot be cardboard because that will not absorb any droppings or pee, plus it will not be
sturdy enough and too flimsy and, it could easily fall apart.

step 2: get your items needed ready!
get the food dishes, water bottle (s) or whatever you will need for travelling
also, remember that you must have food, a source of water, and something cozy to lye on
and optional, something to chew.


Step 3 : time to Depart! now you only need to get your pet in the carrier and leave!
getting it in the car : it may be tricky to so here are some options of a safe place to put them :

• put the carrier on someone's lap
• on one of the seats but with the seat belt on so the carrier does not fall.
• in the front under Neath one of the places where you put your feet.
• or somewhere where it will be safe and will not wobble, tip, or fall over.

WARNINGS :

• Never, ever, leave your animal in a carrier unattended
• Carriers should never be used for permanent housing.
• never, ever, put a hard/solid food dish in the carrier because it may slide and harm your piggy
• do not put a water bottle in the carrier as it will leak and make the surface wet,
• and, Never, Ever, travel with a guinea pig if it's not in a travelling cage - holding it on your lap or in a blanket is not acceptable if you're travelling a long distance or even a short distance

Tips :

• if you have 1 guinea pig the carrier it should be at least : 20(L) x 15 (W) x 12(H) (in inches).but if you have more than one than it should be 1-2 times bigger per each guinea pig 
• Talk to them; they will love knowing that you're there with them.
• Make sure that the temperature outside is good before you transport them into something
• If you are travelling for over an hour/hour-and-a-half, always make sure to check up on them every once in a while to make sure they are ok
•  make sure they have an unlimited amount of food in the carrier
• and also, make sure that you stop every once in a while to see if they need water because you don't want them to get dehydrated.

hello again!
today i will be teaching you about bathing your guinea pig (s). for those of you who do not know
about bathing your guinea pig. here are a few facts, it is important to give your guinea pig a bath at
least 2-3 times a year. because sometimes they get dirty or they pee and it sticks to their skin.
so you need to give it a bath. in fact if they are sitting on pee for a long time and it's just sitting on their
skin than their skin get get really red, get irritated or, even get infected :( and think about how painful
that would  be for your guinea pig! and another even worse thing that can happen is Bumblefoot
if you don't know what that is it's when their pee sits on their feet too long or if their cage is not being
cleaned either properly or not at all enough it's when their foot swells up and turns red and cracks
open, and starts bleeding! it's super painful for them and their isn't any cure for it yet. you need to go
to your veterinarian right away if this occurs to your small pet or animal. you have to get treatment for it
which is extremely expensive and you don't have a choice i mean you either try to help your pet or let it suffocate for the rest of it's life! something even worse that can happen is this : bumble foot gone wrong.

also one quick other tip is that when you are bathing your guinea pig you must stay away fro m the eyes,
ears, face, nose and mouth because they do not like getting water or soap in that area.

 

Guinea pig caring

hello, today I will be telling your a bit about guinea pigs! as you can see I have made different sections to show how to properly take care of your guinea pig :


Food : did you know ? Timothy hay is actually 99% of their diet. also, (you don't need to give your guinea pig this).but if you want to it is called Pellets they don't actually need it to be apart of their diet but if you wish to then you can! (just to let you know it can not be a substitute for hay).
they also need veggies and fruits (here is a chart to show you what veggies and fruit they absolutely need! Veggies and fruits


Water : now, one thing they will need is water. they will not live without water so it is very important that it always has access to water! now, if your guinea pig is like mine and it does not usually like to drink water then this is what you can do :

• you could try put some water on your finger and get it to drink off your finger
• you could cover their veggies in water so that might motivate them to drink
• or you could get one of their favourite foods and cover that in water.

  now, if none of those work than just keep their water bottle full at all times
  and let it drink when ever it wants to. now you don't need to get worried because
  they will eventually drink water! maybe when you're not looking? or during the day?
  (if you're not home). now! one thing that you shall never ever even think about doing
  is taking the ability of them being able to drink water away! in fact that is one of the most
  mean cruel things you could ever do to your guinea pig! so never, ever do that.


  Chew toys : one thing that is really important is giving them chew toys!
  in fact if you don't give them chew toys than their tiny teeth can grow too
  big and than, they won't be able to eat or chew or drink anything properly
  because their teeth will be too big. and you never want that to happen!
  you could easily make or find some wood for them to chew on : here

  bedding : now, you may be wondering what can I use for bedding?
  well, you could use carefresh witch is just some litter litter made of
  100% paper! or you could also use Fleece to cover the main bottom
  part of their cage! ; instead of bedding.
